BADMINTON TITLES. LAST EVENING’S PLAY. HIGH STANDARD MAINTAINED. The Waikato badminton championships were continued in the Bledisloe Hall last evening, when the play was again of a high standard. In the A grade section the matches generally proceeded as expected and both Fow and Dempster won their singles matches in straight sets. The men’s doubles produced some of the best badminton of the tournament to date, and in a strenuous three-set encounter Lewis and Wright just managed to out-last 'Skeet and Miller. In the ladies’ singles Mrs Y'endell had an easy win over Miss Aitken, while in the combined doubles Fow and Miss Edmondson were taken to three sets bv Crawford and Miss Pilling. Skeet and Miss Fow won narrowly from Gower fnd Miss Dempster. Following were the results: — A Grade Championship.
