HEAD-ON COLLISION.
MARRIED WOMAN’S DEATH. ELECTRICIAN FOR TRIAL. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Thursday. Frederick Nicholas Lindblom (37), an electrician, was committed to the Supreme Court for trial on a charge of negligently driving a motor-car on | the Great South Road on May 9, therej by causing the death of Ivy Cavenett. j The evidence showed that a party of four, after attending a Saturday | night card party and dance, drove to j Ellerslie for supper in a car driven by j Lindblom. When approaching a trara- : car Lindblom appeared to lose control | of the car and a head-on collision reI suited. Mrs Cavenette died in hos- * ! pital. Her husband, William George Cavenett, a war pensioner, said his wife left home saying she was going to a dance. Lindblom pleaded not guilty and was committed for trial. Bail was allowed in • one surety of £SOO. For driving withi out a license Lindblom was fined £i and costs.
