WOMEN’S REST-ROOM.
NEEDED IN FRANKTON. Two letters, one from the Frankton Citizens’ Association and the other from the Waikato Central Saleyards Company, were received at last evening’s meeting of the Hamilton Borough Council, each urging upon the council the need for a restroom for women in Frankton. The secretary to the Hamilton East Citizens’ and Ratepayers’ Association also wrote advising the council of the appreciation of the association at the provision being made in the estimates for a loan proposal to erect, a women’s rest-room in Hamilton East. The association advised that the Domain Board had some time ago promised the use of a portion of Steele Park, at the corner of Wellington and Grey Streets, for the purpose. It was decided to advise the Frankton Citizens’ Association and tho Waikato Central Saleyards Company that the erection of a rest-room in Fruukton was under consideration.
