LADIES’ HOCKEY.
PROVINCIAL PLAYERS. WAIKATO WOMAN CAPTAIN. The team chosen by the sole selector of the Auckland Ladies’ Hockey Association, Miss P. H. Dawson, to represent the Auckland Province at tho New Zealand women’s tournament to commence at Invercargill on August 28, includes Miss p. Taylor, Waikato, who has been representing the Oddfellows Club in Hamilton. Miss Tavlcr has also been elected captain of the team. The Waikato Association nominated one player only and in their choice have met with great success. Miss Taylor represented; Waikato at tlie country week tournament in Auckland recently. The following players comprise the Auckland provincial team: — Goal; Miss M. Hutchins (Whangarei': fullbacks, Misses M. Townsend (Auckland'. P. Taylor (Waikato), L. Oubb (Pneroa): halves, Misses J. Alley, H. Alley Paeroa), C. Lynch, N. Dow (Auckland) : forwards. Misses E. Chamberlain Auckland\ T. Hutchins Whangarei'. Mrs. I-. Gawler (King Country), Misses G. Pell, H. Spiers Walpa >. M. Smith Thames), E. Dun,nlng Rodney).
