LONDON MARKET FIRM. THE LATEST QUOTATIONS. DAIRY BOARD'S REPORT. WELLINGTON, Wednesday. Advices from London show that a firm market for New Zealand butter ruled at the close of last week. Choicest salted was quoted at up to 120 s per owt, a rise of about Is on the week. The retail price of Danish had been Increased by Is to Is 3d per lb, and New Zealand was expected to make a similar advance. The steady rise in store stocks of New Zealand butter has been arrested, and during last week the total dropped sharply by 858 tons to 4645 tons. By arrangement with the Primary Products Marketing Department, the following Information is supplied for the week ended August 7, figures for the previous week being given in parentheses:— Butter.—New Zealand, salted, 119«. extra, 120 s (118 s to 119 s); unsalted, 119 s to 120 s (119 s to 120 s- Deliveries: New Zealapd, 1299 tons v.last year, 1243 tons); in store, 4645 tons (last year, 4883 tons).
