MATAMATA HORSE FAIR. The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Limited, report having held their Matamata horse fair yesterday, when the advertised entry came forward. Competition for useful good quality sorts was keen, while inferior lots were not wanted. Twoyear unbroken draughts made £2B to £3O; yearling unbroken draughts, £l4 to £2O; good useful medium draughts, £3B to £45; useful farm sorts, £26 to £3 6; aged farm sorts, £l4 to £22; hacks, £8 to £11; others, £3 to £5. COUNTRY STOCK SALES. VALUES AT TE -KAUWHATA. Messrs. G. W. Verooe and Company, Limited, report having held their fortnightly stock sale at Te Kauwhata on Monday, when an average entry of cattle came forward. Competition on all classes was keen throughout, and a total clearance was effected at satisfactory prices. A small entry of fats and a large number of store pigs met with a ready sale, while a host of sundries also sold well. Light fat cows made £6 to £7; forward conditioned Friesian and Shorthorn cows, £5 to £5 tos: empty two-year Jersey heifers to £3 IDs; yearling Jersey heifers to £3 17s; small mixed coloured heifers to £2 J4s; Jersey and Jersey cross heifers (early calvers), £7 to £7 15s; more backward. £0 to £6 17s 6d; inferior to £5 iOs; Jersey and Jersey cross cows early ealvers'. £6 to £7 15s; later ealvers to £5 10s; fat hoggets to 20s. Pigs: Medium bac.oners, £3 8s to £3 14s; light. £3 to £3 7s; heavy Porkers, £2 15s to £2 19s; medium, £2 10s to £2 lis; light, £2 to £2 9s; large si ores, 35s to 395; others, 30s to 345; slips, 22s to 295; best wean-; ers. 20s to 255; others, 12s to 18s; I sows in pig to £6.
