INTOXICATED MOTORIST.
TE AROHA FARMER CHARGED. LICENSE SUSPENDED. (By Telegraph.—Special to Times.) TE AROIIA, Tuesday. At Iho Police Court before Messrs J. A. Clothier and J. Hepburn, J’-s.P., Samuel Gordon Lockley, a farmer, was rnarged with being In a state of intoxication while driving a car on the To Aroha-MorrlnsvJlle main highway. Evidence was given by a traffio inspector and Dr. Martin for the prosecution. and by a lady passenger for tin- defence, the latter stating that Lockley was driving capably. No fine was inflicted, but defendant U red 1 1 pay costs £1 is. and his license to be cancelled to the end pf the present term.
