The Imperial Airways fiying-boat Cambria reached Southampton Water at 5 p.m. to-day, continuing its nighttime journey from Botwood to Foynes, which was completed in 11 hours 57 minutes, or six minutes less than the Caledonia’s time. She left Botwood in extremely hot weatheir, but flew much of the course at a height of 10,000 feet to catch the following wind, and the temperature there was about freezing point. At one time she altered her course to avoid a storm, from which lightning flashes could be seen.
