SALE OF JERSEYS.
BRETTON STUD DISPERSAL. FAIR PRICES REALISED. Good competition was shown for good quality Jerseys at tho dispersal sale of the Brctton Jersey stud, the property oi Mr J. P. Flynn, at the Gluudclands selling pavilion yesterday. Values ranged from 6 to 16 gns., a satisfactory clearance of the offering being effected. Tho auctioneers were the Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company. Tho buyer at the top figure of 16 gns. was Mr A. C. Smith, of Melville, who was tho last bidder at tliis price on Tranby Mignonette, a 9-year-old cow. The same buyer also obtained another good sort In Brctton Diamond, a 6-year-old cow, tho purchase price being 154 gns. The same figure was pa-! by Mr H. A. Hazelton, of Malania ta, for Tranby Sweetbread, a 5-year-old cow.
