TRANSACTIONS IN SYDNEY. DEATH OF A MEMBER. (Received August 9. 3.15 p.m.) SYDNEY, August 9. The following -sales were recorded on the Stock .Exchange:— Bonds: 31 per cent., 1948, £9B 7s 6d: I per cent., 1938, £lOl 12s 6d, 1953 £lO2 12s 6d. 1955 £lO2 12s 6d. Toohey’s 33s 6d; Tooths, 55s 3d; Australian Gas A, £4 7s; Associated News. 23s 10Jd; British Tobacco, 52s 3d; Broken Hill Proprietary, 85s 3d. The Exchange adjourned for half-an-hour this morning owing to the death of a member, Mr Robert Hill. The noon call will he held, but the afternoon call has been cancelled.
