HANDLING PREBS REPORTS. TELEPRINTER AT FOOTBALL. (By Telegraph.—Preaa Association.) WELLINGTON, Monday. By Installing two teleprinters Athletlo Park on Saturday the Tel graph Department gave & very efflcieL. service In the handling of press reports of the Springboks match. In addition the department gained experience which will be ■valuable la enabling it to complete plans for handling an even heavier traffic when the Test match is played next Saturday. Altogether 5000 words, Including 2000 words of cable messages for overseas,- were dlspatohed from Athletic Park during last Saturday's gume. Of this over 4000 words were handled from half-time onwards with the minimum of delay. The teleprinters, which were capable of transmitting 66 words per minute, were in direct contact with the Auckland and Wellington offices from which the messages were re-transmitted throughout New Zealand as well as overseas. The half-time and final scores would be known in Sydney, for Instance, within a matter of a minute or two after the conclusion of each spell*
