SECOND ANNUAL DANCE.
BUCCEB6FUL REUNION FUNOTION. EAST OLD PUPILS. Characterising the true reunion spirit, the second annual dance of the Hamilton East Old Pupils’ Association, held In the Masonic Hall on Saturday evening was an unqualified success, and a memorable function. The hall was racked with Old Pupils and their friends, and from the commencement of the evening a spirit of camaraderie and gaiety prevailed. An unusual and most effective scheme of decoration had been carried out, the school colours, blue and black, predominating. Streamers in blue and black had been artistically arranged about the walls in sunray effect, and the stage was arranged with bows of blue and black on the background, the letters H.E.O.P.A. occupying pride of place in the centre, In blue and black. Massed greenery and bamboo had transformed the corners of the hall and gave a cool and charming effect, while bowls of rhododendrons and mimosa, most attractively arranged, had been placed about the hall. Overhead, strings of pastel shaded balloons lent a gay note, and later drifted down in the course of a balloon dance. Excellent music was played by Gibson's Orchestra, and novelty dances were very popular. The distribution of favours later in the evening added further to the carnival air of the, function. Mr Ken Jacka was M.C. During the evening a delicious supper was served by members of the committee, who, with the secretary, are to be congratulated- on the excellent arrangements which did so much to ensure the pleasure of a most enjoyable evening. A warm welcome was extended to Old Pupils and their friends during the supper interval by the headmaster, Mr W. A. Curteis. Mr and Mrs W. A.
