OOMING-OF-AQE PARTIEB. A happy time was spent at the residence of Mr and Mrs W. C. Mathews, In Mahoe Street, Te Awamutu, recently, the occasion being the 21st birthday of their only daughter, Miss Honor Mathews. The evening passed quickly with games and competitions. A delicious supper was served, after which the guest-of-honour cut the cake, complete with its twenty-one candles, and her mother handed her the customary gold key. The usual toast was then honoured. Mr Kippenberger, on behalf of her friends, congratulated Miss Mathews on attaining her majority, and wished her all the best of good fortune In the future. The evening concluded with the singing of ‘Auld Lang Syne.” Mrs Mathews was wearing black velvet and lace, and Miss Mathews wore pink georgette. Among those present were:—Mrs S. C. Price. Misses D.
