RACING AT AWAPUNI.
COMBINED HUNT MEETING. AN ATTRACTIVE PROGRAMME. An attractive programme has been arranged for the combined meeting of the Taranaki and Egmont Wanganui Hunt Clubs, at New Plymouth, on September 2 and 4, and indications are Waikato stables will be freely represented in tiie entry list. The big steeplechase on the first-day will be worth £l5O, including a valuable trophy, while similar provision has been made for the principal event on the second day of the gathering. The comprehensive programme caters for maiden hacks and hunters and handicap performers. and there can be little doubt that this popular fixture will again this year attract a wealth of talent. Nominations for all events close with the secretary, Mr C. R. Webster, Rox 33, 'phone 21, New Plymouth, at 0 p.m. Monday, August IG, and with Mr ,T. Gray, secretary, EgmontWanganui Hunt. Wavcrley, at 8 p.m. on the same date.
