TE KAWA NOTES.
DANCE FOR HALL FUNDS. A very successful dance was held in Te Kawa Hall this week in aid of the hall funds. Mesdames Pivao, Leek, Lumsden \ and Ritchie were responsible for the | decoration and the hall looked very ! gay. The lights were covered with ! bright crimson shades and the ceiling trellised with ribbons of coloured paper from which hung graceful clusters of wisteria while greenery and col- | oured flowers decorated the walls. i Brown’s Orchestra played excellent I music and several novelty dances were j much enjoyed. A cake donated by Mrs G. O’Brien, of Te Awamutu, was won by Miss J. Ferguson. ] During the evening progressive five hundred was played, the winners being ' Mrs W. Neill and Mr J. Wallis.
