NGAHINAPOURI NOTES.

ANNUAL GOLF DANCE. Despite the Inclement weather, a very large number attended the annual dance of the Ngahlnapouri Golf Club on Tuesday evening. The hall had been artistically arranged with a canopy of red and green streamers suspended above the danoers, and masses of green foliage and golden wattle were arranged about the walls. An arch of greenery Intertwined with red and silver paper flowers had transformed the stage, and bunches of multi-coloured streamers hung from the lights. Several novelty and streamer dances added greatly to the gaiety, and during the evening a delicious supper was served for which much oredlt is due to the ladles’ committee. Excellent music was played by Allan's Parisian Dance Band, of Huntly, and extras by Miss T. Stringer. A very bright and successful function was brought to a close with the singing of *Auld Lang Syne.” Among those present were:—Mesdames Leslie Champion (Hamilton), wearing beige suede lace and wine panne velvet evening coat; G. D’Arcy Smith (Hamilton), periwinkle blue cloque and silver lame; Ted Firth (Hamilton), violet chiffon; W. McFarland, black velvet and gold brocade tunic Trock; B. Pratt, black stiffened net and taffeta; R. Gifford (Te Kowbai), wine crushed velvet and white fur coat; lan Smith, Ivory pastel flowered self-striped cloque; L. Leech, ivory French lace and white rur coat. Misses Mavis Rye, brick red crepe cloque; Doris Forkert (Te Rore), scarlet marocain; Edith Tuck, sea green satin grano; Dorothy Nottingham, rust red crinkle crepe; Cerldwyn Jenkins, beige moss crepe and lace, and blue spray and white fur coat; AJma Moore (Tauwhare), black and silver cocktail suit and white Tur coat; Lucy Tuck, marigold seir-.spot-ted satin; Merle Banks, sky blue crinkle crepe; Marie Taylor (Gordonton), black and silver crepe; Betty Haycrart (Hamilton), briar rose pebble crepe; Mary Callaghan, floral crepe maroc and black coatee; Josie Callaghan, apricot cloque and white coat; Vera Cann .(Hamilton), old gold and brown taffetas; Thelma Stringer, black crepe leger; Peggy Pratt (Hamilton), Ivory pastel flowered nlnon and white coat; Mavis Wallace (Tarnahere), pastel blue tinselled taffetas; Peggy Steele, powder blue embossed chiffon; Gladys Ferguson (Hamilton), parma violet slipper satin; M. Wouldes, old gold and black taffeta tunic; Marjorie Houghton (Hamilton), black velvet; Elva Rye, apple green lace and net; Pat Haycrart (Hamilton), pastel pink floral chiffon; Margaret Marcroft, primrose flowered georgette.
