LADY CASTLEROSSE.
TO APPEAR IN FILMS. WILL LIVE AT PICKFAI-R. Viscountess Castlorosse is to become a screen actress, sa>s a London paper. George 'Cukor, the Hollywood film director, offered her a part in one film. She will leave for Hollywood in September, and it is possible that she will make her first screen appearance in the next Greta Garbo picture. Lady Castlerosse is arranging to rent, Pickfair. the home of Douglas Fairbanks and Mary Bickford, for her stay in Hollywood. She will take it furnished. She has also bought a garden on the finest part of the Grand Canal at Venice and lias started to build herself a villa there. “Mr George Cukor offered me a part in a nil" when I met him in the Uner on my Inst visit to New York," Lady Castlorosse said. Offered Another Part. “I could have had a . part in ‘Gone willi the Wind.’ which is now being made in Hollywood, but 1 could not be there at Ihe time. “As yet, 1 have agreed lo take part in only one film. 1 must return to Europe to furnish the villa at Venice, which will he finished by December. “If I find, however, that 1- like making films, I may return to Hollywood later on. to appear in some more. “Mary Plckford, who is a great friend of mine, asked me if 1 could find a purchaser for Pickfair, and I am making arrangements in lake the house furnished for myself during my stayin Hollywood.”
