A GREAT IMPROVEMENT. . WARNER BAXTER'S TRIBUTE. .. j The secret screenings of Walter Wanger’s “Vogues for 1938” reveal some sensational improvements in colour cinematography. Warner Baxter, who stars in the picture, declares: “Colour is going to make every Hollywood film star look 50 per rent better than in real life. 1 wish 1 looked 25 per cent as good in real life as I- do in this film." The texture of the human skin, hitherto tlie major problem of colour cameramen, is strikingly natural in this new film, and the make-up experts are satisfied that, their experiments for suitable colour make-up have bccu practically perfected.
