FLIES AND DISEASE.
A DISLIKE OF BLUE. OPINIONS OF DOCTORS. United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright. LONDON, August 5. "What colour do flies like least?’’ is a question which Is being discussed by architects and decorators. Mr. G. B. I. Athoe, secretary of the Incorporated Association of Architects and Surveyors, after a visit to France, where ho Inspected various hospitals and clinics, .said that when he asked why the walls were all paintcjl a medium blue he was informed by doctors and architects that experience had proved that flies showed a noticeable dislike for the colour. Tho view of others Is that, while flies might not like medium blue, it Is a colour which is, for patients, loss cheering than pink, primrose or yellow. Thus the psychological factor enters, presumably opening a wider flelJ for experiment.
