HAILI SELASSIE’S MEMOIRS FOR POLITICAL REASONB. ACCOUNT OF ABYSSINIAN WAR. United Press Assn.—Elec. T®l. Copyright. LONDON, August 5. The News Chronicle states that Halil Selassie’s memoirs, including his personal account of the Abyssinian war and the events which led up to it, which he has been engaged In writing
since last autumn, have been withdrawn for “ political reasons.” A London publisher, Mr Michael Joseph, to whom Ilaili Selassie is onder contract, said that the latter’s solicitors had informed him that for political considerations, which couid not be revealed, he could not publish the manuscript.
The solicitors added: “ Haili Selassie’s decision is not due to political pressure, but to advice received from his political advisers.”
