The dangerous Sino-Japanese tension continues, but the troops sent north by the Chinese Central Government and the Japanese forces there have not yet come to grips. The principal military leaders In China are gathering at Nanking for the exchange of views with the Prime Minister and Marshal Cliiang Kai-shek. Parliament will meet on Sunday to pass bills dealing with a state of emergency.
