Margan (Ohura). Reserves; Henry (Ruupehu), Weinberg (Ohura Tho reTeree will be Mr C. R. McLay, of Taumarunui. Strenuous efforts are being made in England to lessen the noise made by trains. Instead of 4Oft rails and an expansion gap, 90ft. rails welded together are being laid down. Asbestos brake blocks are taking the place of east iron; rubber seating is taking the place of cane, and the noise caused bv echoing walls of tunnels is being eliminated by special shields or asbestos felt.
