The substantially Increased killings Of Waikato stock during the past export season is indicated by the number of stock handled at the works of the Auckland Farmers’ Freezing Company during the year ended June 30. Record numbers of lambs and pigs were killed, while cattle for the chilled beef trade comprised a larger proportion of the stock for export. Over 108,100 tons of butter were received at the company’s grading stores, the greatest quantity in the history of the company, while substantially more cheese was handled ‘.han during the previous season. Based on the guaranteed price, dairy produce exports yielded the province approximately £13,680,000 for the year. The total reoelpts by producers for the Dominion’s export of butter and cheese for the season will be around £23,000,000.
