ALTERATIONS IN REGULATIONS. LOCAL BODIES’ CO-OPERATION. United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright. LONDON, August 3. Major alterations In trafflo regulations In Britain have been Instituted by the Minister of Transport, Dr. E. L. Burgin, whose request for co-opera-tion from local authorities is receiving a good response. The new scheme affects warning signs at road junctions. The changes to be carried out include:—The introduction of stopping lines in conjunction with the “ Halt at .Major Road Ahead " signs; tile erection of ’’halt” signs in future only With the Minister’s specific authority; studs at pedesti-ian crossings to be placed opposite each other in future, and no longer ‘staggered," to avoid danger to pedal cyclists.
