14 MISSING
A PLANE SUBMERGED. NO SION OF LIFE ON BOARD. NAVY HELPS IN SEARCH. United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright. (Received August 4, 11 a.m.) NEW YORK, August 3. Following fears for the safety of a Pan-American Airways plane containing eleven passengers and a crew of three, flying from Chile to Cristobal, which was due last night, a searen of the Canal Zone was undertaken by 64 Navy planes. The plane was found submerged, with no sign of life on board.
