NEW ZEALAND BUTTER.
NEW SEASON OPENS. EXPANSION OF EXPORTS. The new dairying export year opened officially on August 1. The outlook is enoouraging. To the end of June exports totalled 140,049 tons, an inorease of 8 per cent on the corresponding period of last season. Allowing 10,000 tons for July, whioh is a conservative figure in comparison with the export in July, 1986, butter shipments for the whole of the season will total 1'50,000 tons. Exports in tons for the past three seasons compare as follows: 1935 1936 1937* Butter . 129,704 141,448 150,000 Cheese . 89,812 83,928 85,460 ‘Estimated.
