RUGBY FOOTBALL.
CAMBRIDGE UNION. STANDARDISING PLAYERS. (Special to Times.) CAMBRIDGE, Tuesday. At the weekly meeting: or the management committee of the Cambridge Rugby Sub-union last night, the president. Mr B. Brewer, presided over a Tair attendance of members. The Walpa Sub-union wrote suggesting that a meeting of the Matamata, Morrlnsvllle, Putaruru, Hamilton, Tauplri and 1 Cambridge Sub-unions be held at Cambridge on August 18th to discuss the standardising or the Junior and third grade players throughout the Waikato. The Cambridge Union decided to wait until the meeting before discussing the matter further. Arrangements were finalised Tor the annual ball to be held on August 12th. C. Taylor was placed on the Insurance list from August 24th. The games Tor the Boyce Cup were drawn, and resulted as follows:—Cambridge (holders) v. Matamata, on August 14th; Holders v. Tauplri, August 21st; Holders v. Morrlnsville. August ?Sth; and Holders v. Waipa, September 4th. Fixtures for Saturday. Stars v Old Boys, at Hamilton: Blues v. Cambridge Junior Representatives, at Victoria Square, at. 2.4 5. Third Grade. Cucksey Cup:—Tauplri v. Cambridge, Square, at 1.30 Fourth Grade,-Knock-nut final; Hautapu v. 1 nited, at High School, at 2 p.m. t referee, Mr O. Hadley) ; Leamington v. Northern, at, Hgfii School, at l.io (referee, Mr C. Hadley).
