MISTAKE IN LAW.
CLERICAL WORKERS’ OA6E. WILL BE CORRECTED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Tuesday. Commenting on the clerical workers’ Judgment, the Prime Minister, Mr Savage, said: “If the intention of the j Government is not expressed in the j legislation it soon will be. There is j only one sensible thing to do, and that j is to amend the law. We cannot ex- j pect ihe court to make decisions , against what the law actually ex- j presses In words. “One can hardly be surprised at the mistakes in the law. No doubt we will have them and somebody will have to correct them. I said long ago that when we made mistakes, and when we found we had, we would correct them. That applies to this particular case.”
