The German tennis championships were continued; with -Mie following results : Men’s Singles. Third Round. —Bromwich (Australia) defeated von Gramm (Germany), 6—l, I—6, 6—3, 2—6, 6—2; McGrath (Australia) defeated Butler (Britain), 6—4, 6—3, 6—o. Metaxa, the Austrian Davis Cup player, defeated Crawford (Australia), 6—4. 3—6, I—6, 6—l, 6—3. Bromwich’s victory was the sensation of the championships. He played with great assurance, while von-Cramm frequently netted and outed.
