WHEAT IN ITALY.
A GOOD HARVEBT EXPECTED. IMPORTS NOT NECESSARY. THE AVOIDANCE OF WASTE. United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright (Received Aug. 3. 1 p.m.) ROME, Aug. 2. Italy’s wheat harvest Is expected to yield upwards of 295,000,000 bushels, enabling her to dispense with imported wheat. The law compels millers to mix other grains with wheat for bread. Farmers are also obliged to send wheat to Government granaries and to avoid waste and speculation. The people are being urged to consume rice In preference to macaroni, which is generally made from hard Imported grain* The rice harvest Is promising.
