HAMILTON EABT CRITICISM. ABSORPTION URGED, OrHlclsm of the control of several of the Domain Board lands In the town was expressed at the annual meeting of the Hamilton East Ratepayers’ Association .when several members expressed the opinion that the Domain Board’s attention should be draw’n to the deplorable state of some of the board's lands in Hamilton East. stating that the hoard had insufficient finance to clear the areas of noxious weeds, one member suggested that the existence of the board was detrimental to the progress of the town. Other speakers supported the contention and it was resolved that a recommendation from the association should be forwarded to the Minister of Internal Affairs urging that the amalgamation of local bodies scheme should include the absorption of the Domain toard by the Hamilton Borough Coun--11, as being in Hie interest of the Ucpayers and citizens of the town.
