REMOVING HEAT MARKS.
Heat marks can be removed from lacquered surfaces if they are rubbed with a piece of cotton wool moistened with a little sweet oil of any kind. Rub in gently, and leave the oil in the marks for a little while. Then wipe it off, and sponge the lacquer with warm vinegar. Allow this to | dry, then polish the surface with a soft cloth sprinkled with flour. All traces of the heat mark will be removed, and a brilliant polish will be left on the surface.
