BRIDGE CLUB. The lO'haupo Bridge Club travelled to Ngahlnapouri recently to play a match with the latter team for the Shield. Ngahinapouri team was successful. At !:he weekly meeting of the Bridge Club held on July 20 Mr L. Turnwald won the men's prize and Mrs Anderson the ladies’ prize. At the evening held in the Social Hall on July 27, Mrs Rawlinson won the ladies’ and Mr L. Turnwald the men’s. CARNIVAL DANCE. One of the most successful dances arranged in the Ohaupo Hall for some years was held recently to raise funds for the country candidate in the Te Awamutu Catholic Queen Carnival, Miss C. Dunlop, and drew’ many dancers from all surrounding districts. The hall, which had been decorated with streamers and coloured lights, looked most attractive. Novelty dances ■were won by Miss J. Allen and partner, Miss E. Emett and partner, and Miss M. Turney and partner. The committee responsible for the supper arrangements were Miss M. Rawlinson and Miss B. Allen. Messrs
