EXHIBITION IN HAMILTON. C " ” H K An Interesting exhibition of craft, the first of its kind to he held in * Hamilton, will he opened in Hamilton this evening by Mr J. Treloar, presi- j dent of the Waikato Society of Arts, in Wesley Chambers. In the exhibition there is an array of metal work, pewter, brass and copper applied to -J trays, bookcases, ooffee tables, fire j. screens, log boxes, bowls and the like, r A distinctly modern note is struck J in novel cocktail sets in hand-painted glass. An effective portiere, also I hand-painted, and the exhibits of l hand-painted designs applied to canvas for tapestry work are of great i interest. A table of exhibits of work [ done by pupils of the Hamilton High < School is displayed. The exhibition will be open to the £ public from Wednesday to Friday i from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. i ■ i" mm ■■■ >
