RELIGION IN SCHOOLS.
WAIKATO TEACHERS' DECISIONS. At a well-attended: meeting of teachers of the Waikato branch of the New Zealand Educational Institute in Hamilton on Friday night, the following resolutions were carried unanimously: 1. That this meeting of the institute is whole-heartedly in favour of the Nelson system of religious instruction. 2. That this branch is opposed to the taking of religious exercises by teachers during school hours.
