Bradford merchants expect to have to face more competition from Japan at the "forthcoming -sales. They anticipate that Japan is likely to be a heavier purchaser this season, as -her stocks mu-st be light. Her military activities should also increa-se her demand, though the Ministry of Commerce, significantly, has urged industry to use larger quantities of “ zellwollc ” in conjunction with wool. At present Japan uses about 15 per cent.
