The Earl of Cardigan, in accordance with the wishes of Ills late wife, who committed suicide by jumping from a seventh storey window in t lie Savoy Hotel, scattered her ashes from a boat into 1 lie sea near her birthplace off the Isle of Wight. Lord Cardigan scattered also a handful of dark red roses. The ceremony was carried out quietly, but the Earl was much affected.
