Rainfall for previous 24 hours, .03in. Rainfall for August to date, .03in. Average rainfall for August, 3.96in. Rainfall for year to date, 27.551 n. Average yearly rainfall, 46.32in. BPEOIAL FORECAST. (By Govt. Meteorologist!. The special forecast by the Government Meteorologist covering the WaikutoThnmes Valley Is as follows Forecast: Moderate but freshening northerly winds. Weather fair at first and mild but shortly clouding over and rain developing. Seas slight to moderate, but rising. General Inference: An anticyclone Is moving off the northern portion of the Dominion, and a rather deep de - pression is approaching the southern extremity.
