I WELLINGTON, Monday. j A very firm market for lamb ruled at Smithfleld last week, with better] prices for heavy-weights and second' quality, according to the weekly report of the New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board. Consumption continues good. Wethers and ewes were Crm, with improved prices. The market for frozen beef is quiet and unchanged. Prices for chilled beef have improved owing to lighter supplies. New Zealand porker pigs are firm, while a firm market also rules for baconer pigs, with higher prices.
