LITTLE FABT WORK DONE. SEVERAL HORSES SCHOOLED. (By Telegraph.—Special to Times.) TE AWAMUTU, Saturday. The going was very heavy on the oourse proper here this morning when the flags were about 30 feet out for fast work. There was not much doing. Hutana (Horne) was first out * and was sent over half-a-mlle, taking 60s. Aukett was not after time while working along over three furlongs. He looks well. Barricade (Howell) over a similar distance took 465. He could have Improved considerably on the timo. British Nation (Lewis) and Balanaoa (Horne) were sprinted home from the two furlong peg; British Nation doing best in 2745. Both these are wintering well and will he in excellent shape to commence the new season. Loombination (Horne), over five furlongs was timed to occupy 1.16. He worked very la/.ily. Tuaheahe (Murtagh) and Lady Diana (McMullan) were associated in a schooling bout over five hurdles. Both gave a good exhibition. Lady Diana shows much promise. The yearlings by Speardance—Spalpeen mare and Cape Horn—Rose Martian, were together In a short sprint up the straight. Neither had much pace on. Doing useful tasks were Huntingmore, Torch, an Acre—Qulnkama gelding, Orate, Corato, Cintrace, Tonnerre. Illuminagh, Nugget and a Vaals—Gold Bud filly. PIXTUREB AHEAD. July 31—Poverty Bas Turr Club.
