VITAL STATISTICS.

RETURNS FOR HAMILTON. Hamilton vital statistics for July show an increase in births over the figure for the corresponding month last year, the registrations during the month just ending being 56, compared with 45 in July, 1936. Deaths during the month totalled 41. as against 32 for July, 1936, but marriages stood at the same figure for both periods, namely, 22. The returns for the first seven months of 1937 aro as follows, with the figures for the same period last year in parentheses: Births 313 (298), deaths 193 (155), marriages 209 (177).
