FILM AMATEURS.
INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION. WIDE SCREENING OF ENTRIES. Amateur cinematographers will have a chance to compete at an international movie show to be held in New York on April 6, 1938. 1 Arranged by the division of film | study of the Columbia University, this i will be the first international show of its kind. ! The Department of Commerce has been advised that the show will be i on a non-theatrical basi-s and no prizes , will be awarded. ! After the winners have been selectj ed, films of 400 ft. and of outstanding j merit and unusual interest will be ■ screened, in England, Scotland, Australia, Czechoslovakia, Austria, Holland. Canada, U.S.A., France and Japan, and certificates will be awarded to producers of the successful films. There will be no entry fees.
