Net revenue for the four-weekly period ended June 26 decreased by £55,513 compared with tlie corresponding period last year as shown !>v the railway working account, an abstract of which was gazetted last night. The figures were £14,427 for this year and £69.940 for last. The gross revenue for the four weeks was £603.306. which was £4 0.157 greater than last year. Exnenses were increased by £104,670 to The gross revenue was £67.526 and Ihe expenditure £19.121. For Hie 12 weeks of the current financial year nol revenue was £115.672 lower than for Hie same period last vnar. £191.396 ns against £310.068. £2 6i. 337 ill 19.35. £26.3.109 in 193 i. £2 12.0 m in 193.3. £192.25.3 in 19.32. £2l 1.742 in 19.31 and £201.377 in 1930. The gross revenue was £2.005.325. an increase of £280.510. while Hie working expenses were £{.B 10.929. or £396.182 more Ilian in 1936.
