FORCES IN PALESTINE.
GENERAL OFFICER COMMANDING. MAJOR-GENERAL A. WAVELL. (Official Wireless.) RI’GBY, July 28. The War Office announces that Major-General A. P. Wuvell has been appointed general officer commanding Hie British Forces in Palestine and Transjonlania. in succession to Lieu-tenant-General J. G. Dili. He will take up Ids appointment about llio end of August. Major-General Wavell. C.R.. C.M.C.. M G . Las been in command ~f Hie 2nd Division, Aldershot Command, since 1935.
