ENJOYABLE BALL.

ST. JOHN AMBULANCE. A very enjoyable ball was held under the auspices of the Otorohanga branch of the St. John Ambulance in the Municipal |Hall, (Otorohanga, on Tuesday evening. O’Connell’s Orchestra played excellent dance music, and the hall had been very tastefully decorated. Supper was provided by the ladies. The art union was drawn during an interval, the winners being: First prize. Mr A. Cameron; second prize, Mr H. Reardon; third prize, Mr R. G. •raig.

The net proceeds of the art union tnd the ball will materially augment lie St. John Ambulance funds.
