ADDINGTON MARKETS. AN EASING IN VALUES. , Fat sheep, breeding ewes and porJiets were easier at the Addington market. Fat cattle, store wethers and baeoners were firmer. Store sheep and forward wethers were firmer and sold to 26s 6d, and good wether hoggets to 255. Sound-mouthed ewes well In lamb sold to 2Ss 3d, but aged sorts were down by 2s a head. Fat Sheep.—The entry was about 7000 head. There was a distinot easing for most classes. Wethers were most affected, being down fully 2s. Ewes were down Is 6d for heavy •sorts, while there was little change for lighter ewes. Extra prime heavy wethers made to 48s Id, prime heavy 35s to 4 os, prime 'medium-weight 31s to 345, ordinary 27s to 30s, extra prime heavy ewes to 35s Jd, prime heavy 27s to 30s, prime medium-weight 24s 6d to 26s 6d, ordinary 20s to 245. Fat Cattle.—Some 4 35 were penned, the smaller penning meeting with an improvement of 1,5 s a head. Best beef ■sold up to 36s per 1001 b. Extra prime heavy steers made to £l9 17s 6d prime heavy £l4 to £ls 10s, prime medium-weight £l3 to £l4. ordinary steers £lO to £l2, extra prime heifers to £l3 2s 6d, prime £9 to £9 10s, medium £6 5s to £8 ss. extra prime cow-s to £l2 17s 6d, prime £7 5s to £9 10s, medium £5 5s to £6 15s. Aealers.—in spite of an unattractive entry the sale was a good one. There was a keen demand for small calves, the market generally being better Prime heavy runners made to £7 18s 6d, heavy £4 to £6, medium £2 JOs to £3 15-s, prime vealers £3 7s 6d to £4 17s 6d, medium £2 15s lo £3 ss, small calves £1 5s to £2 15s. Dairy Cattle.—The top price was £ll 2s 6d for a second calver and the be-st heifer price was £9 10s. The demand was practically confined to good sorts near profit. Fat Pigs.—An exceptonallv heavy entry of porkers. The market eased 2s a head, except for heavy-weights, which remained fully on a par with the rates of last week. Choppers showed very little change For baeoners the ■sale was spirited throughout and all classes showed advance, particularly heavy-weights, which fully recovered last week’s drop of 5s a head.
