RUGBY FOOTBALL

STAG TROPHY GAMES. EXCELLENT HAMILTON MATCHES LEADING TEAMS MEET. Excellent Rugby should be witnessed at Rugby Park on Saturday when the Stag Trophy competitions will be resumed. When two senior matches were played on No. J ground some weeks ago the innovation was so successful that this step is again being taken. Technical Old Boys, the leading team will meet Frankton at, 1.30 p.m. and Old Boys and Cambridge Blues, two other teams well up in the competition will play at. 3.0 p.m. In the first match if Technical win they will put their claims for championship honours beyond doubt as they already have a lead of seven points over Frankton and Cambridge Blues. The Technical team plays that fast open type of football that the' public like and on a dry day a large crowd can be expected. The Frankton team also plays spectacular football and although on the light side they have a great set of eager forwards. This match can go either way.

Cambridge Blues are level with Frankton seven points behind Technical while Old Boys are only one point behind the Blues. On a line day further delightful football should be seen in the meeting of these two teams and patrons wishing to see really good Rugby should not fail to attend on Saturday. At Te Awamutu the two home teams will meet and a fine game should result as they are both close together on the championship table'. At Cambridge the Cambridge Stars will play Taupirl and here again a fine day should see some sparkling football. The Draw. Seniors: Old Boys v. Blues, No. 1 Rugby Park, 3 p.m.: Frankton v.
