PLAIN TALK
BRITAIN AND ITALY. PRESENT STATE OF EUROPE. VERY SATISFACTORY DISCUSSIONS United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel* Copyright. (Received July 28, 3 p.m.) LONDON, July 27. In the Cabinet room at Downing Street Mr Neville Chamberlain and Count Grand! talked plainly about the present state of Europe, says the diplomatic correspondent of the Daily Mail. It is understood that the Premier expressed a wish to restore the spirit in which the Anglo-Italian Mediterranean agreement was conceived. He asked Count Grandi to state precisely Italy’s attitude to the Spanish war.
Italian quarters describe the talk as very satisfactory.
