WRESTLING.
BOUT IN HAMILTON. COX TO MEET KIRILINKO. Two wrestlers who specialise In fiery and aggressive mat work will meet in the bout which Is to be presented at Hamilton on Thursday night. They are “King Kong” Cox, the rugged wrestler from Los Angeles who has been responsible for countless sensations since he arrived in the Dominion, and Matros Klrilinko, the Kuban Cossack, whose fast and unorthodox wrestling has made him a prime favourite with wrestling enthusiasts throughout the Dominion.
Both of these men have drawn with Earl MoCready during the past few weeks and, for those who appreciate the calibre of the famous Canad'an, little more need be said. Kirilinko, who has had considerable experience at both the Greco-Roman and the allin styles Is a particularly well equipped wrestler who Is likely to be seen at his best when his Russion blood is stirred, as it Is likely to be when he meets Cox.
Cox has Just had a memorable matoh with MoCready, In which he finished level on falls and gave a performance which caused many of those who saw the engagement to think that he should have been awarded something better than a draw. Cox believes In bustling his opponent the whole way and bringing Into the attack whatever is allowed by the rules, or whatever he can get away with. His exceptional toughness makes him extremely formidable at this style of wrestling and Kirilinko will need to be at his best If he is to prevail. The usual entertaining amateur bouts have been arranged and a feature of these should, be the appearance of the versatile Indian from Auckland, Kisha Bhana. He will meet a clever opponent in Robinson. The other bouts are:—
Workman v. Whatua; Harris v. Henderson: Parker v. Maxim.
