ENVOY AT RIGA.
AN APPOINTMENT ANNOUNCED. WIFE A NEW ZEALANDER. (Official Wireless.) RUGBY, July 24. The King has approved of the appointment of Mr Charles William Orde, counsellor in the Foreign Office, to be His Majesty's Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary at Riga/Talllnn and Kovno.
Mr Charles William Orde, C.M.G., who was born in 1884, married in 1914 Miss Frances Davidson, only daughter of the late Mr James Davidson, of Dunedin.
